Why the heck would they produce an 82v device? They already have a complete line of 80v devices.

Segmented for their professional stuff vs the clearly homeowner level 80V. Both use 72V output. 80v batteries work fine in 82v devices. 82v batteries need a little help but a router will do fine.

If you don't mind doing a little work, this deal is worth it on the batteries and charger alone

82V is supposed to be their commercial line, for small landscaping businesses. Same battery really, but supposedly the equipment itself is built a bit more robust.

I have the Snapper XD 82V, I bet these batteries could be slightly modified to work with that ecosystem.
