This is the older 2024 model compared to the 2025 model. The 2024 model uses a steel top instead of the Omnivore one, which uses 25% less propane on average.

This is the 2024 model which uses a steel top. The 2025 model uses the Omnivore top which also is around 25% more efficient with propane use and is being sold at Costco for $165 with an included cover/top.

I asked Google Gemini to calculate the break-even on the claimed 25% fuel savings versus paying $65 more for the newer Omnivore top, and based on current propane prices, you would need to cook for roughly 75 to 90 hours using 1 lb green bottles, or about 300 to 350 hours running off a 20 lb refillable tank to make up the difference. If you're just a casual camper cooking 10 to 20 hours a season, the fuel efficiency alone won't offset that price jump anytime soon, so saving the cash and grabbing this older version is definitely the way to go unless you specifically need the included hard cover.
