As someone who owns one, it's kinda gimmicky with the screen and charge wheel. I generally prefer the USB charging hubs with AC plug options for desk, bedside, and entertainment center. The only practical use I've found for the display is viewing charging speeds when testing cables with unknown specs along with a device that can't show charging wattage itself.

I've had one for a year. I think I might have bought it for about the same price, or maybe less, as a refurbished unit. As a previous commenter said, it's a bit gimmicky, but I think showing the charging speed is interesting enough to keep it front and center on the desk. The display also shows a clock, and I have it set as such, so it's a $100 clock most of the time.

If you buy it, connect to the Anker phone app and make sure the firmware is up to date. I think firmware fixed issues on some early models; that's why there were so many refurbs out there at one point.
