I understand LCC (low cost carriers) like frontier are bare bones sardine seating, but just checked some flights and even accounting for a carryon bag at frontier, southwest tickets are 2x-3x more. Frontier with a bag and select seat was about 100 MCO to CLE one way (about 200 round trip), Southwest was like 300 one way (unsure of carryon bag charge, if applicable) and includes one layover. No layover was 400. Woof.

Thanks for posting, OP. I had a flight scheduled next month and found that this promotion included my flight. With a call to SW customer service, I was able to save $110+ by re-booking.

maybe on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. But expect all your flights to be super expensive. It's across the board due to fuel prices. But SWA is playing catchup with their fares for sure

That's a pretty significant savings. Thank you for letting us know. Despite the negative comments here, there's also a silent majority of users who appreciate this post.

Yes. Incredible deals. Austin to San Francisco or Fresno for $101. Austin to Seattle $109 non stop. Great deals

In a week or two it'll be another sale and you'll be checking your flights for rebooking at a lower price. Most won't be lower. I fly Southwest maybe at least 6 times a year. Same nonsense sales. Ignore them and just check the flights periodically. The codes apply automatically in the app without entering anything as far as I can tell.

Raising fuel prices are just an excuse. They are revamping their rewards and adding more things you have to pay for in your fare you don't need. Lounges are coming next year. "Free" Starlink Internet fleetwide that doesn't work most of the time. I'm sure a credit card fee raise is coming.

I was tracking the price of a flight in November. The 40% off sale started on Monday, and the price of the flight dropped $140. I've gotten similar deals in the past during their Wednesday Get-Away or Flash sales such as this one. It is indeed a real sale. Ignore the haters. They may not be familiar with the system or their dates/destinations do not align.

you can do it online too, and you can (and should) check the pricing after booking as it can change and if it does, rebook (aka change, not cancel and rebook).

When people stop flying with them. Southwest is the farthest thing from a low cost airline anymore.

I just tried checking out and got an error. They said that I needed to reselect the flights, and the price per ticket increased from $560 per ticket to $766!

Domestic flight for more than $500? Is that round trip?
