via previous threads...
  • "I had one of these half-buried and hidden between a couple bushes in the courtyard of my old condo, running off a cheap class-D amp. Paired with a couple of small, easily concealable, outdoor satellite speakers like the ones in the OP. It sounded pretty damn good, and didn't cost a lot of money."
  • "These speakers sound pretty great for $18. I have them being powered by an HK receiver from the 80s and they definitely make noise."
  • "They sound terrible and are cheaply made - but $20 is cheap."
  • "It is not bad speaker. Speakers sound good enough."
  • "I had these speakers, and they are good. Also I couldn't find any difference between this one vs.JBL 100watts speaker"

You would have to have an amp for them.

These are nearly 4x the price, but....

Insignia is perfectly fine for budget stuff. It's Bestbuy's in house brand and not some oddly named Chinese brand on Amazon.

My friend bought a TV, it was terrible and then it died.
I bought a surround sound system from my ex-girlfriend, it was terrible and then it died.
And then I bought a $100 Bluetooth speaker for $30 on sale. It was okay, and then it died.

Sorry to hear that. But I have had several insignia products and never had one die. But of course we all have different experiences. Now I've had plenty of cheap no name brand junk on Amazon break often. Plus Bestbuy is good about their warranty
