I bought mine last December. It was also a refurb from Acer. I only had one issue and that was the laptop would crash every blue moon when firing up a game. I found out it was an issue with Acer's own power switching in the laptop's app. I switched it to use Nvidia Optimus to make the switch between the integrated and 5070ti. I haven't had an issue since.

A year later, it still works perfectly fine, temps on both CPU and GPU stay below 80C under full load. It does restart occasionally, but more often than not, those were annoying Windows updates.
As for switching GPUs via Nvidia Optimus per Kevin's comment - haven't tried that yet, but it does sound promising

Two quirks, not deal killers.
First, it runs hot, so a cooling pad is a good idea. Note that this is a slim model, so it just can't dissipate heat as well as regular size laptops. I have another Acer with a 5090, but it's not a slim model, and it cools just fine on its own. Second, there is probably something latent that consumes power in the laptop, because if you don't use it as your primary machine, after about a month the battery will discharge on its own and it will not charge even if you put the power adapter on the machine for hours. Easy fix: plug it in, hold the power button down for a minute, and it resets whatever is going on, and everything is back to normal. The charging light comes on, give it a few minutes, and it starts right up.
