I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund 😂
Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.
Community Reviews
This bundle ties Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus together, with Walmart+ included at no extra cost for existing Sam's Plus members and an add on path for current Walmart+ members. The strongest upside is the prorated refund or credit many accounts show after linking, and the combined setup can simplify renewals and unlock both sets of perks. The main catch is that pricing is inconsistent, with some seeing the expected $22 add on while others are charged much more or lose a discounted Walmart+ rate. Linking also seems finicky, often depending on matching emails, phone numbers, or using the right account.
Common Questions (6)
The $22 figure is only the difference in some full-price cases; the actual charge depends on your current Walmart+ discount and how far your membership runs. Some accounts showed $48, $51.55, $58, $78, $95, or even $109-$120 instead of $22 because the system prorates the remaining value and may reset the renewal cycle.
Open the Sam's Club app or website, log in, and look for the pop-up or button to link Walmart+ to your account. Matching the email or phone number on both accounts often helps, and some users had to use the same-email Walmart account or the invite/share-benefits flow to complete linking.
Linking can trigger a prorated refund on the Walmart+ portion, and the refund amount depends on how much time is left on the current term. Reported refunds ranged from a few dollars to about $95, with some users also seeing their renewal date updated to the Sam's membership cycle.
Yes, if you already have Sam's Club Plus, Walmart+ can be activated at no extra cost by linking the accounts. The link can be started from the Sam's app or Walmart app, and some users were prompted to connect their memberships with no additional charge.
It may not work cleanly with Amex-based Walmart+ credits, especially monthly reimbursement offers. Linking can cancel the statement credit arrangement, and the combined membership may switch to annual billing instead of the monthly Amex setup.
The combined plan is an auto-renewing annual membership for a single $120 fee, but the amount you pay now is prorated based on what you already have and when each membership renews. Existing Walmart+ members may see an added Sam's charge around $22 in some cases, while others are quoted much higher or lower amounts depending on remaining term and discounts.

Club members: Upgrade to Sam's Club Plus for $60 more a year and get Walmart+ included.
I went round and round till I figured that out.
I had to go that route since my Sam's account is in my business name.
Yes there is.
Your Sam's and Walmart emails MUST match!

Add to that Amazon has "lost" two of my packages recently. WTF?? I had to contact Amazon to get a refund, and even though they've agreed to refund I have yet to see it.
Amazon also holds packages in order to see if they can combine orders if you happen to order anything a few days later.
Sam's Club Plus members now get free access to Walmart + benefits, and vice versa. This will cost $120 dollars either way (at full price). It appears that if you are currently a Walmart+ member paying the $10/month fee you will now have access to Sam's Club plus member benefits. You need to link the two accounts together for the joint benefits. See the link for details. I linked the two from inside my Sam's account, but I believe you can link it from starting at your Walmart account as well. I am just realizing that if you have free Walmart+ through American Express, that you can likely continue paying through Walmart and essentially get Sam's Club + for free.

Edit again: It looks like the AMEX issue has already been explored and due to the monthly nature of the AMEX fee reimbursements, this will not work for the combined membership. I was able to link my two account with different email addresses through the Sam's Club Plus membership portal. It sounds like linking with different email addresses may not work out the same way from the Walmart+ end.
