I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund 😂
Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.
It does remove the annual dance of making a new account which isn't worthless, but I'm not sure it's that amazing of a slickdeal. Great for set it and forget it folks though.
Edit: reading it again, it seems like the play is to make WM+ your "main" by adding on Sam's for $22, then hope that you can still get the occasional $49.99 base renewal offer when canceling. It sounds like if you link existing accounts for both then Sam's becomes your main at $120/year, and I haven't personally seen discounted renewals when canceling with Sam's.

This bundle ties Walmart+ and Sam's Club Plus together, with Walmart+ included at no extra cost for existing Sam's Plus members and an upgrade path for current Walmart+ members that can be as little as $22 depending on timing. Linking usually happens through the Walmart or Sam's app and can trigger a prorated Walmart+ refund, sometimes immediately. The main catch is that the charge is often prorated by renewal date, so the amount can be much higher than expected, and some accounts hit linking errors or lose other discounts. It works best when the account details line up and the renewal math is clear.
Common Questions (5)
The advertised add-on is as little as $22, but the actual charge depends on your current membership status and how much time is left until renewal. Some members were quoted much higher prorated amounts, while others saw a small charge or a refund instead.
Yes, linking can trigger a prorated Walmart+ refund, and the amount depends on how much time is left before renewal. Reported refunds ranged from a few dollars to around $95, and some members saw the refund immediately after linking.
It can work with different emails, but matching the phone number and email on both accounts often makes linking easier. If the wrong account is selected, linking from the primary account or using the invite option can fix it.
Existing Sam's Club Plus members can link their Sam's and Walmart accounts to get Walmart+ at no extra cost, and existing Walmart+ members can add Sam's Club Plus through the same program. The link is usually started in the Walmart or Sam's app, then you sign in to the other account to complete activation.
It may not work cleanly with Amex monthly Walmart+ credits or other discounted Walmart+ plans, because the combined offer is billed annually and can cancel statement credits. Some members were told their Amex credits would stop applying after linking.

Club members: Upgrade to Sam's Club Plus for $60 more a year and get Walmart+ included.
I went round and round till I figured that out.
I had to go that route since my Sam's account is in my business name.
Yes there is.
Your Sam's and Walmart emails MUST match!

Add to that Amazon has "lost" two of my packages recently. WTF?? I had to contact Amazon to get a refund, and even though they've agreed to refund I have yet to see it.
Amazon also holds packages in order to see if they can combine orders if you happen to order anything a few days later.
Sam's Club Plus members now get free access to Walmart + benefits, and vice versa. This will cost $120 dollars either way (at full price). It appears that if you are currently a Walmart+ member paying the $10/month fee you will now have access to Sam's Club plus member benefits. You need to link the two accounts together for the joint benefits. See the link for details. I linked the two from inside my Sam's account, but I believe you can link it from starting at your Walmart account as well. I am just realizing that if you have free Walmart+ through American Express, that you can likely continue paying through Walmart and essentially get Sam's Club + for free.

Edit again: It looks like the AMEX issue has already been explored and due to the monthly nature of the AMEX fee reimbursements, this will not work for the combined membership. I was able to link my two account with different email addresses through the Sam's Club Plus membership portal. It sounds like linking with different email addresses may not work out the same way from the Walmart+ end.
