I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund 😂
Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.
Community Reviews
This Walmart and Sam's Club bundle mainly adds convenience for people who already use both memberships, with account linking often activating Walmart Plus right away and sometimes triggering a prorated refund on the existing Walmart Plus plan. The combined program is described as a $120 annual setup, and the upgrade can be as little as $22 only in some cases, depending on current renewal timing and whether Walmart Plus is already discounted. The main catch is that pricing is inconsistent across accounts, with some seeing much higher charges or losing existing promo rates. Linking can also affect Amex credits and other subscriptions, so the math needs a careful check before proceeding.
Account linking can activate Walmart+ instantly after confirming the Sam's Club Plus login in the Sam's app.
Linking Walmart+ with an existing Sam's Club Plus membership can trigger a prorated Walmart+ refund.
Sam's Club Plus members can receive Walmart+ at no additional cost by linking accounts.
Walmart+ can be shared with a household member using a manage membership link.
Upgrade pricing can differ from the advertised "as little as $22" amount and may show higher charges like $48 or $53.11.
Renewal offers can conflict during linking, such as losing a $49 Walmart+ renewal rate and being charged full renewal amounts.
Prorated refunds can be small depending on timing, including cases showing only a $7 refund.
Linking can fail when the Sam's Club Plus membership has expired, which blocks activation of the bundled Walmart+.

But with that said, I also hate how WM will still fulfill an order with a gig worker from the local store even when you choose "shipping" if the local store has the inventory.
Amazon - quick chat and you got your refund.
