I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund 😂
Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.

This bundle ties Walmart Plus and Sam's Club Plus together, with Walmart Plus included at no extra cost for existing Sam's Plus members and an upgrade path for Walmart Plus members that can add Sam's for about $22 when the timing lines up. The combined plan brings free shipping, Sam's member pricing, curbside pickup, fuel discounts, and the choice of Peacock or Paramount Plus. Linking often triggers prorated refunds, but the exact charge can vary a lot by renewal timing and existing discounts. Account setup can be finicky, and some Amex monthly credits or senior discounts may not carry over.
Linking Walmart+ and Sam's Club accounts can trigger a prorated Walmart+ refund after activation.
Existing Sam's Club Plus members can activate Walmart+ through the Sam's app or linking pop-up without an extra charge.
Account linking can work smoothly when the Walmart and Sam's Club login details match correctly.
The joint setup can update renewals so Walmart+ aligns with the Sam's Club Plus renewal schedule.
Upgrade pricing can appear inconsistent, with the "as little as $22" message not matching the checkout charge.
Linking can fail or misapply when Sam's Club Plus is expired or when the wrong account details are used.
Renewal charges can be higher than expected, including cases where Walmart+ renewal shows $98 instead of the $49 offer.
American Express monthly Walmart+ statement credits may stop applying after linking, even though Walmart+ remains included.

Club members: Upgrade to Sam's Club Plus for $60 more a year and get Walmart+ included.
I went round and round till I figured that out.
I had to go that route since my Sam's account is in my business name.
Yes there is.
Your Sam's and Walmart emails MUST match!

Add to that Amazon has "lost" two of my packages recently. WTF?? I had to contact Amazon to get a refund, and even though they've agreed to refund I have yet to see it.
Amazon also holds packages in order to see if they can combine orders if you happen to order anything a few days later.
Sam's Club Plus members now get free access to Walmart + benefits, and vice versa. This will cost $120 dollars either way (at full price). It appears that if you are currently a Walmart+ member paying the $10/month fee you will now have access to Sam's Club plus member benefits. You need to link the two accounts together for the joint benefits. See the link for details. I linked the two from inside my Sam's account, but I believe you can link it from starting at your Walmart account as well. I am just realizing that if you have free Walmart+ through American Express, that you can likely continue paying through Walmart and essentially get Sam's Club + for free.

Edit again: It looks like the AMEX issue has already been explored and due to the monthly nature of the AMEX fee reimbursements, this will not work for the combined membership. I was able to link my two account with different email addresses through the Sam's Club Plus membership portal. It sounds like linking with different email addresses may not work out the same way from the Walmart+ end.
