Always thought this would have been a better move for Walmart/Sam's Club.
I have both but W+ on my name and Sams+ in SO's name, so can't link them for refund 😂

Edit: just linked both accounts from W+ app. All it asked was Sam's Club login/pwd and issued refund for prorated W+ membership. I had used Amex offer for W+, so Amex may take back the credit but I'll still get some back. So that's a win.

If you regularly cycle emails for Sam's Club, this is basically just regular price I think. You can usually get base Sam's for $10ish each year, upgrade for another $60 (and sometimes there's deals on that too) and then there's often methods to be able to get WM+ for $49.99. That's $120.

It does remove the annual dance of making a new account which isn't worthless, but I'm not sure it's that amazing of a slickdeal. Great for set it and forget it folks though.

Edit: reading it again, it seems like the play is to make WM+ your "main" by adding on Sam's for $22, then hope that you can still get the occasional $49.99 base renewal offer when canceling. It sounds like if you link existing accounts for both then Sam's becomes your main at $120/year, and I haven't personally seen discounted renewals when canceling with Sam's.

In some very specific ways w+ is better than prime.

But I for sure don't need Sam's Club.

I also did a price comparison of Walmart and Sam's club items for a party and surprisingly Walmart was cheaper. Very strange

Have you been on Walmart's website recently? They're trying to be just like Amazon, for better or worse

Not only that, but every time we've tried to setup a Walmart pickup, it somehow takes them 15-30 min to round it up and bring it out after arriving. Even when the "already on my way option" is used.

Lastly my particular Walmart is really bad about stocking just about anything in the store, so it's always a crapshoot wether or not they have it. It's honestly pathetic a company that big has trouble keeping basic items in stock.

I have a Sam's Club membership already. Looking back I probably should have upgraded to the Plus Membership a while ago. I live car-free and usually get a delivery every month to every other month. Due to chronic health reasons (4+ years) I decided (been told to) do less and that means less grocery shopping in person. I recently signed up for Walmart+ as I can get it with a discount.

Looking at the numbers. Linked my account. Upgraded (prorated) my Sam's Club membership and got a refund for my Walmart+ membership. I still have both.

$12 dollars for a delivery adds up, especially if you do a monthly or bimonthly delivery. That's why I should have done it sooner. I'll probably get a delivery next week with some steaks or lamb for Halloween.

When you ope W+ monile app, you should get a pop up message. If not go to your account page and you'll find the message. Start the linking process from there. It will ask for Sam's Club username and password. If successful, you'll get prorated refund for W+. Depending on how long you have for next renewal, the refund will vary. I guess it works the same way when you start the linking from Sam's app. Note that you must have or upgrade to Sams Plus membership.

With Sam's Club Plus shipping is free only for $50+. So you have to be able to bundle to get past that. Below $50, I believe it depends on the item, maybe around $8-$9.

I have W+ and wanted to check if this offer is good for me. I didnt know if Sam delivered groceries to my area so contacted W+ CS. After about half an hour with AI and finally a human I got an answer that Sam does deliver. I wanted to make sure so tried to contact Sam CS. Dialed their 800 number and AI hung up on me after saying it was connecting me with a human. Called back AI rang a human. Was told I was next in line - LIE. lol. Waited for half an hour with them saying I was 1 min away. LIE. lol. Finally I got them to call me back when the next operator was avail. I waited for nearly 3 hours!

Is this normal for Sam CS? Put a very bad taste in my mouth for them!
