I don't have this specific feeder yet. Just ordered 2 because this is a buy price to me, for what you get compared to the others I have previously bought. Red feeders attract more birds than most other colors. Metal feeders don't get wholes chewed through them by the squirrels. I bought a bamboo feeder from this brand last year and it is adequate. Would prefer 2k resolution and a more polished app, but it works ok. To use without the subscription you should install a microSD card, if you aren't checking on it so much that you might as well stand there and watch it instead. If you plan to download videos it can be hit or miss with the ios app this system uses, Android seems to work though but I only put the app on a chromebook to see if it worked better and rarely use it. I would not be buying them if they were at a higher price.

As a bird feeder camera owner: don't forget to buy a smooth (no texture at all) pole for it. 95% of my videos are late night shots of a rat feasting on birdseed.

Do you have any pole product recommendation in mind?
