I found this type (not this actual leash) to be a terrible design for anyone needing to control a dog that has pulling issues. If you don't have a heavy puller, it might be ok. One of the things that gives a dog a sense of what you want them to do is leash tension or corrective leash flicks and you lose most of that with the bungee style leashes. If you have a dog that walks at your side or has good recall, this should be fine. My Pit/lab requires a firmer hand at the leash. Just make sure you're buying for your circumstance.

The latch seems to be an issue. Looking at the reviews highlighting how it breaks or is just easily pulled open.

If you have "sudden puller", avoid this style of leash.

Halti harness will stop pulling "kinda." It's not a substitute for training but it's a big help if you have a darter. I have a cannonball of a dog and used the halti harness for a while until he was heel trained. I can walk him off leash now, but I'd never do that. Folks are scared of dogs, gotta respect that.

Yes, but Jay's point is still a good one in that you wouldn't want a leash with a bunch of give connected to a harness either.

Oh I completely agree-was just offering my experience with "pulling." I've never found leashes like these to be very good, and was surprised how effective the harness was. Some people can just clip the front of the harness and that can knock it out pretty quickly. Not my boy. He wants to sniff and meet everyone and everything. Makes monkey noises when he's doing right lol.

I don't have a heavy puller like a husky (I have a lab). This type of leash plus a harness is THE BEST.

Looks like a great quality leash, I have a tuffmutt version with a waist harness I use with my off-leash system for our pit-mix. Works great for when she darts or is just not in attention and I don't watch too reach for the remote. The off leash training has been great.
