Nice watch, but mineral crystal, not sapphire. Kills it for some that ding their watches at work often.

Actually sapphire will shatter more easily, but doesn't scratch as easily. So I suppose it depends on the type of "ding"

Bought this watch from a Slickdeal in 2018 for $90. Miss those deals - especially the old Amazon Father's Day watch deals. Also landed a titanium eco drive for $140. Great times!

This watch has always gotten me a surprising amount of compliments, figure it's the size and band just sticking out.

It's a nice watch, I too bought this a few years back from Amazon for cheaper.

At one point though, the watch just stopped charging no matter how much light I give it (indoors and outdoors)

They're based off pilot watches from WWII that were 55mm and worn over jacket sleeves. It's the same size as the smaller Garmin Instinct.

I wrench on stuff and climb structures. I strongly prefer sapphire. I've never shattered a sapphire crystal.

I bought this exact watch in 2020 when there was a deal for $99. Oddly enough, I'm wearing it right now. It's a smidge on the bigger side for me. I tend to prefer ~42mm watches. That being said, it's not like a massive watch. It nicely fits the width of my wrist. I'm still wearing it 6 years later and it's one of my dailies.
