Love this series, it's not complete yet. And I can't wait for the last 2 books.

Keep in mind, the series is up to date in hardcover, paperback is still on book 3--if this matters to you.

Excellent series! I read the first 5 books back to back so quick I got a little burnt out and had to take a break. Back to them again after a short hiatus, it's such a good story.

Just finished book 1 (paperback) today and have to say that I found the audiobook distracting because of the narrator seemingly trying to make Carl sound like Patrick Warburton. I didn't like it as much as many seem too. Every other voice was great.

Also.... ordered book 2 and 3 today because it was buy 1 and get 1 50% off. Not sure I've seen that posted.

Edit to add that it's especially strange because at least in book 1, the Warburton affectation is only there for Carl narrating. Not when Carl speaks or in scenes when it's flashbacks to Carl speaking.... I don't get it but find it annoying. I imagine I'm in the minority.

I hate most audio books. But DCC audio books are an absolute treasure in my opinion.

But I don't know who Patrick Warburton is.

One book in two separate volumes, essentially books 9 and 10. Is this what you are getting at, or something else I am missing?

For real, the book series is fantastic, but what Soundbooth Theater and Jeff Hayes did with the audiobook version is simply outstanding. Can't recommend it enough.
