Eeeeuuuu
Went with the open box excellent for $585. I've purchased at least a dozen this way over the years and they all look brand new. Did CB, but SD doesn't like posting those details. Also bought 8 gift cards for 10% off from a site I've used for years (cardcookie). After cash back and the 10% off, that makes it about $500 + tax. Not bad.
Cons:
720p webcam (but so many are still this way, especially for entry level; even my new work lenovo has one, and it cost $2k+)
No USB-C charging.
No backlit keyboard.
HDMI 1.4 (HDMI 2.1 or 2.2 would be nice)
WiFi 6? Wonder if it's actually 6e.
Pros:
Good (but not great) CPU - I'd say it's pretty high up there for the laptop class, but it's made for slim/ultrabooks and such, so it's nothing to brag about.
16GB DDR5 upgradable to 32GB (so many are soldered these days)
Screen seems pretty great. IPS, 120Hz, 400 NITs, touchscreen - that's about all you could ask for, at least in this class/price range.
Reviews on the bestbuy site are good.
