How is this a deal? Amazon price history shows it being this price for a year.

But these batteries are consistent, which is what you want from a battery. I bought this eight pack two years ago and swapped out my old batteries in my Panasonic phone set. Those who have these handsets in a closet or attic, they make a great charger for other devices. I've been recharging for my tv remotes for years using an extra handset.

I'm sure this is probably not typical, but I bought a set of these a couple of months ago and two out of the eight batteries don't hold a full charge. I can still use them because the two devices use four batteries each, but I have to recharge each set more frequently. I'm hoping as I cycle them multiple times the two bad cells recover some of their capacity.

I bought them directly from Amazon, too. Has anybody else had any problems with Eneloop's lately?

The problem is that it's a crapshoot whether you'll get genuine or counterfeits off of Amazon.

Japan gets rechargeable batteries with USB-C and we get crap that needs to be plugged into a separate device that you need to buy to charge them...

I buy rechargeable batteries all of the time. Usually the most expensive and best money can buy, due to being very wealthy. (I won't by now because being on sale makes the product look cheap.) Since I'm rich and time is precious, I can't be bothered with recharging and direct the maids and butlers to throw them in the waste can when they're spent. In the wintertime, when one of our fireplaces is burning (the best exotic woods one can find) they simply throw them in the fire to give them a proper burial. Thanks for reading guys. Yolo. (So fun saying that.)

Now I've got two complaints. One is the FRONTPAGE OVERLOAD on Slickdeals and the second is Eneloops Batterys. I bought a pack about 7 months ago. 3 batterys have pretty much died. It seems as though Eneloops's has taken a steep dive off the quality cliff. Very sad. Looking for something better.

The batteries you're referring to are readily available here in the U.S., so the rant seems a bit silly.

$2 per battery i think is the sale or buy price for me. I would suggest not buying from Amazon, and instead buy from the other 2 to limit chances of getting knockoffs. Don't take negative feedback from purchases off amazon as reflective of the brand. Those are likely knockoffs mixed in.

Doesn't matter, the stock all gets mixed together. I bought a pack shipped and sold by Amazon. Three of the four wouldn't charge a second time.

any similar deals to the discounted ikea batteries a few years ago where ikea heavily discounted their brand of batteries? I believe they were found to be rebadged eneloops or very similar. I still have a few of the ikea batteries.
