This is 80 percent lean, 20 percent fat ground beef that stands out for convenience and a low effective price when the deal and coupon line up. The beef has strong Amazon ratings, USDA inspection, and repeat reports of decent flavor for tacos, chili, and freezing well. Some packages have been described as average, with one cartilage chunk in a pack, and country of origin is unclear, which has raised food safety concerns. Availability and pricing vary by area, so the deal can disappear or jump to a much higher per pound price.
The ground beef quality and flavor reportedly match grocery store and Costco ground beef.
The beef reportedly freezes really well for later use.
The deal limit can support meal planning, since one shopper was able to get five pounds for chili.
USDA inspection and passing are mentioned, which can reduce uncertainty about basic processing compliance.
Country of origin is unclear, so Argentina or other "mystery" beef concerns may remain unverified from labeling.
Availability and pricing can vary by area, including reports of $7.36 per pound and "deal dead" status locally.
Shipping and account eligibility can block the deal price, since one order attempt showed a higher $7 per pound rate.
Some packages reportedly contain large cartilage chunks, which can make the product less appealing for repeat purchases.

If you are worried about Argentine beef, there is no way you can tell if this is an impacted batch. You can pretty much get Argentine beef in any grocery store; and they won't be labeled with country of origin.
You just have to trust that Trump FDA is doing their due diligence in keeping chloramphenicol tainted batches out of the US. Big if, thanks voters.
oops, I meant 3 Dollars or mystery beef?
