Amazon Grocery ground beef is a convenient same day option for chili, burgers, and other basics, with a deal price around $2.99 per pound in some areas. The meat has a 4.7 rating with over 27,000 reviews, USDA inspection, and past orders were described as matching grocery store and Costco quality and flavor. Availability and pricing vary by warehouse and account, with some pages showing a coupon or the deal price and others showing $7 per pound or unavailable. Shipping and the $25 minimum can push the effective cost higher, and the country of origin is not clearly shown.

What do you add to make the total more than $25 for free delivery/shipping (even though I have Prime, it's a $25min for free shipping)
let's assume you are a 200 Lb person who accidently bought a XS Shirt with your Beef, will need to return it later.

The Antibiotic Issue (Chloramphenicol)

• The Banned Substance: China rejected an Argentine beef shipment after testing found chloramphenicol, an antibiotic that is banned for use in food-producing animals in many nations because it can cause severe blood disorders (such as aplastic anemia) in humans.
• Scope of the Rejection: The action involved a specific slaughterhouse/shipment rather than a total ban on all Argentine beef, though it heightened consumer anxiety

Canadian lean beef trimmings is what was in circulation over the last 10 years until the new tariffs this year. Additionally the 2001 ban on Argentinian beef was imposed after Foot and mouth disease (virus) was found in the supply, after Argentina started vaccinated their cows against it the meat was slowly reintroduced, yet restricted by a strict USA tariff, until now. Even China passed on importing this current meat they are selling. LOL no thanks
Which current meat are you speaking of? There is ZERO proof this ground beef in this deal is from Argentina. ZERO.

  • Not Banned Nationwide: China did not place a total embargo on Argentine beef; China remains a primary destination for Argentina's beef exports.
  • U.S. Import Link: The March incident gained renewed social media attention and scrutiny later in the year as the United States increased imports of Argentine beef to help lower domestic beef prices.
  • Distinction from U.S. Recalls: A separate August 2026 U.S. recall of Argentine beef in Texas and Florida involved a USDA paperwork/reinspection lapse rather than chloramphenicol contamination.

Yes it does. Would you cite something from 20 years ago, food-related, to scare people from buying it today?

I'm just sharing info, you can buy whatever you want to buy.. But due to a lack of mandatory country-of-origin-labeling (COOL) in the US it doesn't need to be on the packaging, so for transparency purposes better quality meat distributors put the origins of their products on their labels.

I was questioning you saying China is currently rejecting "this meat". China rejected a batch of meat back in March from a particular beef plant. They are not currently rejecting beef from Argentina as you stated. That's all I was trying to clarify from you...which meat?
