Wow...and I think this is the twin to the Denon X2800...with some better internals as what they typically say the difference is from the Denon units to the step-up Marantz

I bought the Denon X2800 for $355
I think its worth that and not much more

I would wait for the Onkyo 7100 deal at $599 again over this, IMO

or even better if this price range works...wait for the Onkyo RZ70 again at $1500

This coming from a person that personally owns the Denon X2800 and Marantz Cinema 30

If you're a Marantz fan, not too bad.
You could add/use A1EVO, you have Dirac equivalent!
Game changer for Denon & Marantz owners!

The cost of Marantz over the equivalent Denon is a joke in the US. The rest of the world is less easier to bamboozle, I guess. I wouldn't mind paying 15-20% more but that is usually not the case...

Well, the same is said between Denon & Onkyo. Everyone has their reasons & don't feel "bamboozled"!

There's no point in bringing up Onkyo as none of the current SD darlings are capable of ART, which you've admitted is the best RC you can get right now in a mass market AVR. Denon and Marantz are natural comparisons since they have the same parent company and share 90+% innards.

Well now you're moving the goalpost.

Imo 90+% doesn't equal equivalent & ART has ZERO benefit/advantage if you don't use it.

Don't complain to me because your 3800 deal is getting no activity!

LOL hmmm I guess ART isn't that big of a benefit!

Seems like "90+%" would be fine with the RZ30 especially at $700! Includes Dirac Live, access to DLBC(which means DLBM is included), independent sub outs & preouts!

What actual advantages does your 3800 offer beyond that?

Sometimes I wonder if you really own a 3800 as often as you disparage it and the Dirac ART you supposedly paid for!

Disparage! My preference & needs are irrelevant to anyone else!

What I don't get is why you feel you have to tell people they are being "bamboozled" based on your preferences/beliefs!
Yet you don't believe in it enough to actually own it yourself(ART)!

Thanks for your receiver posts. I'm on the market between now and black friday and your effort is appreciated.
