Star Wars Outlaws Gold Edition on Switch 2 is a digital key card release with the full game and expansion packs, and the key card can be resold or passed along after download. The game and its expansions are described as solid, with the added content making the package feel worthwhile. It still requires a full internet download of about 25 GB before play. The price is also noted as below the current eShop listing, making this a strong value for the edition.

It's a game key card, what's misleading about that?

There's a physical key card as opposed to a piece of paper with a code written on it. Game key cards can be resold. Fully digital can't.

All Game Key Cards are a physical cartridge that only holds the digital key and requires a full download. This is not tied to an account and therefore can be sold. This is completely different than a code in a box, once those codes are used they are tied to an account and cannot be redeemed or sold.

I think some people just hate the concept of key cards so much they can't help themselves but complain about it whenever one is mentioned.

I would also prefer software being on the actual card, but I mean, it is what it is at this point. Love it or hate it or be ambivalent, it's just reality.

And it's a post for a sale on the only "close to" physical version of this game you can buy for Switch 2, so it's not like the post is misleading.

What is misleading about the post. The image says exactly what it is. Also, what is a physical chip?

I get what you're saying but I can loan it, sell it, give it away. It's not quite as good as game on card but it's better than what Sony's doing.

ok that makes sense. Maybe just including Game Card in the title would clear the air

Ahhh ok so the game card actually can be used, resold and used again because the system relies on the game card itself.

Ok I think that definitely helps with reselling it
