I bought a similar model in the summer , it works well but be warned , the gph is nowhere close to what is advertised.

Looking at the outlet, I'd say this is 10-15 gallons per hour, at best.
Just playing devil's advocate. I have a similar pump (don't remember the brand), and it takes about 10 min to drain the 500-gallon hottub, which makes it 50gpm or 3000gph. 10-15gph mentioned by you is a nonsense.

The REAL question here is: How deep (or shallow) is that backyard pool in picture #6? 😆

My advice is spend the extra 20$ and get the Harbor Freight pump. That is what I have and it works great. There is no way this amazon pump can do 10000 gal in 2 hours, that is just a straight up lie.

I like that this would fit in a narrow sump pit, which is what I have. However, I'm not reading anything on it about there being a cutoff switch when the water is lowered to a certain level. To me that means it would run continuously and you can't "set and forget" it. Buyer beware.

I use something like this in a 5 gallon home depot bucket with vinegar to descale my tankless hot water heater annually. Saves a lot of money for not a lot of effort.

Even a gravity siphon off a 1/4" tube should net 2-3x more than that. The 4700~ GPH is likely based off the non adapted 1-1/2 fitting and almost no 'head' but as someone who has drained their pool a few times (the last foot of depth at least), it is pretty remarkable how much water these (style) janky little pumps can move. And mine is only rated at 1900 gph. I can even flood my neighbor's driveway 125 yards away...don't ask me how I know Wink

I use dry citric acid. Cheaper and simpler to store and use. FWIW
