150MB/S is really slow for USB 3.0. It should be a lot faster than that. 5 Gbps is the theoretical bandwidth of 3.0, with real-world speeds being much lower than that, but it should still be a lot faster than 150MB/S

I bought the 64gb and this one the last time it came around. What these are is sturdy. I have just used the for ventoy or moving files off the phone so I cant realy say I noticed slowness, but I like the build quality and for this price, I am getting another.

Reviews say about 41megabytes per second write speed. So it'll take 22 seconds to write 1GB file.

What part of what I said is wrong? USB 3.0 is supposed to reach up to 5 Gbps, making it about ten times faster than USB 2.0. But this USB 3.0 drive is only 150 MB/S, meaning it's really slow for USB 3.0, and that was the point I was trying to make.

150 MB/s is 1.2Gbps. Still slow compared to the theoretical max of the protocol, but not that slow compared to most thumb drives.

That's really fast for a USB drive that costs $15.

Find a faster drive at comparable price.

I don't know why the strike price is $40 if even Amazon lists at $28.99 and that's after a recent increase. The strike should be ~$20 and it was just $17.25 beginning of Oct.

I got it to work. The link went to the same exact product, but different seller for 25.99.

I can't speak to this brand or its performance, but I'm not a fan of this particular dual-connector design. Having USB-A and USB-C in one drive is convenient in theory, but whichever connector you're not using is left exposed to dirt, dust, and potential damage. I own several similar drives from name brands, and I've found this to be a practical drawback.
