This Nintendo gift card multi pack is mainly attractive as a way to shave money off a Switch 2 or eShop purchase, with the 5 pack limit still allowing a meaningful discount. The effective price works out to about $400 toward a $500 console, and the deal is described as the lowest discount seen in years. It also lines up with the usual holiday price for $100 cards at $80. The main caveats are the member timing, possible shipping cost, and the fact that using gift cards can forgo credit card extended warranty coverage. A solid value if you can use the balance soon.

The Costco normal price is $90 for $100 so this is pretty good.

Just in time for my online renewal, which is $80, so I get 20 leftover.

Glad I got in on this back in July/August before the $50 price hike with the free digital game, but ngl if I could use this on the Zelda Switch 2 there is a decent chance I would.

Historically, the $80 for $100 is the holiday sale price. I doubt this year will be any different. You can, however, use credit cards with cash back to get a slightly better deal.

FWIW, I have full confidence that Costco will drop to this price around the same time frame. It happens every year.

I've never seen 25% off these gift cards. 20% is the lowest I've seen for years.

Costco deal was a little better with the $50 off $500 coupon that was being sent around. Anyone know of a Sam's coupon similar to that by chance?

Remembering way back when in the Wii U era when Best Buy had 20% of eShop cards, and you could use an Amex deal to save $50 off $250 at Best Buy. Then you got Reward Zone gift certificates back on your purchase, plus credit card rewards. Then used the no sales tax trick to save on your digital games.

This is the best way to save on a new Switch 2 essentially. Note that you're limited to 5x multi-packs so either you pay the difference or you find a friend to buy you one more to get the full 20% discount on a switch 2 now that it costs more.Bundle Pricing (factoring in the 20% discount): Note: Limit 5 packs per Sam's Club member, so a 6th pack requires a friend's purchase. Prices exclude sales tax.
Cheapest way, but then you also miss out on getting an extra year warranty that many credit cards offer. Which I think is more valuable for an expensive device that hasn't been out that long.
