These Panasonic CR2032 coin cells are mainly valued as a cheap backup battery for AirTags, Samsung tags, key fobs, and other small devices. They are reported to work fine and, in some cases, avoid the bitter child safety coating that can hurt performance in certain trackers. The main drawback is shorter runtime than Energizer or Duracell, with some batteries lasting about half as long and a few reports of very short shelf life. A practical low cost option if you want spares on hand, but longevity is the tradeoff.

  • AirTag owners who want a coin cell that works fine otherwise, because these batteries power trackers even though they may not last as long as the originals.

  • People keeping spare batteries for key fobs, calipers, or trip emergencies, because they are cheap to stash in a drawer and ready when a device dies.

  • Samsung tag owners who want a battery without a bitter child-safety coating, because these appear not to have that coating and avoid the performance hit from rubbing it off.

  • Industrial or equipment users who trust Panasonic coin cells, because Panasonic is described as a go-to brand for coin batteries in industrial use.

  • People who need the longest-lasting CR2032 for AirTags or key fobs, because these can last about half as long as Energizer or Duracell.

  • Drivers and tracker users who need long runtime in cold or variable weather, because these can run down in about nine months or sooner in a car.

  • Shoppers storing coin cells for backup use, because these can arrive already dead within a month or two while still in the package.

There are two almost identical listings for this. The other one is $9.99. Here's the other one:
https://www.amazon.com/Panasonic-...0829PGDQR/

Flip back and forth between them. Same listing, same reviews, different price.

Costco sells a 10 pack of these batteries, Duracell, for 9.99 + tax. These are probably a good deal, but I went with the Costco batteries because I use them for AirTags and the pain of having an AirTag whose battery runs out and then I can't find my car item is worth more to me than saving on the batteries.

Also, I believe I read somewhere that Amazon sometimes sells grey market or fake batteries unknowingly. That is because they take products from a bunch of people and then sell it all from the same bin.

I love Amazon and buy a lot from them but I prefer to buy my batteries from big-box retailers in person to avoid the chance at fake batteries.

I wish Amazon would come up with a way to separate genuine product they get direct from the manufacturer and those that they get from third parties but so far I don't believe that is the case.

People on here saying Panasonic doesn't last as long but I see tests showing they last the longest, even if just by a little bit

Thank you for the link - looks like they are the best batteries for Airtags.

Never buying Eveready again. Some were bad and getting them out of the package is a royal pain.

Yea, I'm confused why so many on here are saying these are junk. Unless these are very old stock, Panasonic is the goto in coin batteries in industrial use for a reason.

Pro tip: Most 2032 batteries come with a bitter coating for child safety. For many things such as Samsung tags and higher end keyfobs, you need to rub off the bitter coating with something like isopropyl alcohol, otherwise you'll have degraded performance. On the plus side, these Panasonic batteries do not appear to have that coating. Big plus to these.
I own these specifically for AirTags.
