This magnetic drawing board is a low cost option for scribbling and fine motor practice, with the appeal of erasing instead of piling up paper. The slim stylus can help build more refined hand control, and the board has held up as a recurring toy over time. The main drawbacks are the lightweight build and the legs, which can come off or make it easy to tip over, so it may work better on the floor or lap. The eraser slider also feels stiff and can be hard for a toddler to move.

We had better luck with the cheap lcd blackboards where you push the button to clear but the writing tool is slimmer and requires more refined motor skills.
