This RedPocket annual plan is mainly a low cost voice and text line with 200MB of data, and the talk and text are now unlimited instead of capped. It works well as a backup or light use line, including for watches and for people who mostly need calling and SMS, and activation can be handled through RedPocket chat or the website after buying on eBay. The main cautions are that iMessage and RCS use data, photo and video messages also draw from data, and activation or auto renewal can be finicky. The plan also appears to be GSMA, or AT and T, only, so it fits best when coverage and setup are not a problem.

Common Questions (5)

  • Buy the code on eBay, then add it on the RedPocket website. Activation should be completed within 90 days of purchase, and if the line is being moved or renewed, RedPocket chat or customer service can help with the transfer.

  • Yes. It has been used successfully for a TickTalk watch and as a backup voice line. It is best suited to talk/text use rather than heavy data use, since the plan only includes 200MB.

  • Yes. The plan now includes unlimited talk and text, while the 200MB data bucket remains the same. It used to have monthly talk/text allotments, so the current version is better for voice and SMS use.

  • Yes. iMessage and RCS are data-based, so they can consume the 200MB allowance; unlimited texting applies to SMS only. Using Wi‑Fi for messaging helps avoid using cellular data.

  • Yes, the eBay listing shows this plan as GSMA, which is AT&T-based. That matters if you need AT&T coverage or are trying to move a line from another RedPocket network.

I've been watching this for many months keeping it as an option to keep my number on while using other promos for data SIMs. This has been unlimited T/T at this price for a long time.
My current plan expires next January. Guess I can safely wait and place an order laternod Thanks!

Was new to me, didn't realize it had been going on as long as it has. But I did share a link to an old deal where it was 200 mins/200 texts per month, so I'm sure there are others who weren't aware of the change on the $30 plan.
I think you just forgot about it, because you commented on this exact same deal (unlimited t/t) back in Dec 2025. It's fine to bring it back up though, as many people obviously missed it in the past or forgot about it, as you did.

You can add data with their various add-ons offered.

Yes, it works with wifi calling overseas for OTP, etc.

$30 is cheap for a year! Although does anyone know for certain if iMessage and RCS eats up the 200 MB of data or does it fall under free texts?

iMessage and RCS are data based so yes it will consume data. Use wifi where available. Unlimited text is via SMS only.

Considering this as a 3rd line (eSIM) on either iOS (has an active number - Line 1) or Android (also has an active number - Line 2), locking data to the primary number only and using this just for calls/txt ( as needed )

Anyone have this set up ?

I use it as my primary number, with a Google Fi data sim for data. There's an iOS bug that keeps RCS from working, but everything else is fine (including iMessage).

If you buy it now, the activation code is only good for 90 days. But you could buy it now and go ahead and switch if unlimited m/t would help you -- you'd just lose the remaining value of your existing plan. Most likely, but nobody knows for sure, this unlimited plan will still be available in July.

I switched from the 200m/1000t/200mb plan to this one a few weeks ago. RedPocket chat helped with the switch, and it was seamless. It was basically like moving to a new carrier - gotta get your account number and pin to transfer your number to the new plan, but thankfully everything is still within RedPocket so there were no problems.

Me: This RedPocket plan, along with a Roamless eSIM and paygo plan for data: $2/GB that doesn't expire. Family used my Roamless referral when they bought their's prior to a Portugal trip last summer, and I now have enough paygo value to last me probably 10 years.

Wife: Infomobile, unlimited, 10GB $75/yr plan. Flawless.
Son: Infomobile, unlimited, 10GB $75/yr plan. Flawless.
Daughter: Infomobile, unlimited, 20GB $120/yr plan. Flawless. She needs more data because her school wifi blocks a lot of sites that the teachers require them to use Facepalm

My 80yo dad: This plan. Perfect for him because he only uses voice (a lot)

How much is the added data per GB? Does it expire after a month?

The answer is right there on the ebay webpage my friend. But like I said above, it's way cheaper to have a different eSIM if you need more data. I use Roamless because it doesn't expire after 30 days. Somebody else said they use Google Fi. Shop around.
