if you are already on Supreme Unlimited, should be a YES. I tested it before. You can try add it to cart to see.

Doing the math in case anyone is interested. You need 12 months of service for the phone to be unlocked. Assume you take their $45 plan after 3 months. Thats $180 + $45x9 =$585. Various carrier deals give similar plans for ~$200 annual. So the cost of the phone is ~$385. An unlocked iPhone 16e is $540 at Best Buy right now. So your discount is $155.

Math changes slightly if you choose their $35 plan. $180 + $35x9 =$495.00. Similar plans are ~$150 from competition. So cost of phone is $345, which is a $195 discount.

Of course I'm not accounting for any additional fee, or any specific plan from a competitor. This is just 'back of napkin' math for anyone interested.

Thinking about this deal for family members who mostly use WiFi. Can one switch to $15 plan after first 3 months?

No idea. terms says not good for multi-month plan. Maybe you can get the $15 plan using a BYOD, then swap these iphone onto those lines.

I was thinking to get a samsung or moto, with two of 16e. Then port out the iphone numbers to keep the credit; downgrade the plan to last maybe a and trade in these iphones.

According to the other comment from yesterday, the unlock policy is now one year. So barely a deal here.

Now for my brain to work to see if family of four plan at Costco for $150/mo for four lines of unlimited everything and new phones... downside is 36 months required in order to not get billed for the phones. I think it depends on if those of us who qualify (w trade-in) get the Ultra/Pro versions of Samsung/iPhone. Two of four phones are too old and I think would get iPhone 17e with no trade in

That 3-month plan is deceptive. It's only $45 for the first 3 months and only for new customers, after the first 3 months it's $40 per month billed quarterly. That is only a good deal for the first 3 months.

You would need to switch to the $35 plan ($30 with autopay), which is 10gb per month, and stay on it for 9 additional months to get an unlock. It's an okay deal, but not great.

You did say family "members", indicating plural. This deal allows you a max of 2 free iPhone 16e's. If you're getting it for two people, it's actually cheaper, so it could be worth it. $335 up front for 2 phones and 3 months of service, and $60 per month for 2 lines on the 10gb plan after that (or $65 for the cheapest unlimited plan on a 2-line, autopay deal). You have to remember to switch plans, though. They are counting on you to forget and stay on the most expensive plan.

Can anyone confirm if I get this error message at check out:

"Our systems are on the struggle bus today. Please give us a minute to get ourselves together and try again."

Am I banned from Cricket?

Is anyone else getting this error? I saw on reddit that others have had this problem.

I have tried to buy one of these on Cricket several times over the last month or so and this always happens (I used incognito mode, different payment methods, different browsers on different platforms, different computers in different locations, etc, and can't get around it).

It's not a big deal. I just wish I knew so I could quit trying.
