I bought the non-aluminum version of this mower several months ago. I've had no issues with it or the batteries. I have 7.5amp, 6, and 4amp. I was disappointed to find out that 3 batteries isn't enough to mow continuously. Even with 2 batteries charging they couldn't keep up and I'd have to stop.
But longevity on the batteries seemed reasonable. Been mowing consistently most of that time.

Perhaps you got a bad one. If you registered your mower at time of purchase than the battery is definitely still under warranty. So, give Ego a call on Monday they will have you do a battery test and perhaps upload a video and send you out a new one if there is an issue. That is my experience.

sounds like a bad battery. most come with 3 year warranties. I believe 10 AH ones come with 5.

Yeah, no chance. These batteries are incredible. If you got a dud, they'll replace it. I've got 4 across 8 years and each are still going strong.
