Because SD decided to make it a slick deal. They get the click and the commission goes to them on whatever you decide buy. These "deals" are nothing more than bait to get that clickthrough.

For those that do not know do NOT use these on non-stick pans. Only use the non-sctrach blue type.

The HD Green will damage nonstick coatings and ruin pans.

True. I'd say don't even use them on other pans that aren't nonstick too. I made that mistake on some stainless items before while in a hurry, and didn't realize it until it was too late.

These work fine and last way longer than the blue one. The main thing is stop using them like sandpaper. Wet and add soap to them first, also soak your pans.

I always moisten the sponges before use and apply lots of dish soap. I always have water in the pan before moving toward the sink for cleaning.

These sponges will scratch.

Be warned that the "heavy duty" label is there for a reason.

These are cheaper than what is available at dollar store. We buy them for our young kids to play with in their outdoor kitchen/etc.

Not an insane slick deal but it's still a deal
