The quality is excellent. We ordered some during the last sale not knowing what we should expect, but we were kind of blown away by how nice they are - particularly for $1.99. They ARE small, but they'd make a great stocking stuffer.

Is the picture glued to the frame, or could you take the two acrylic pieces apart and swap out the photo?

They glue (sticker?) the picture to the back piece of the acrylic cube -- the acrylic covering is magnetically attached to that back piece. But I believe the magnets are strong enough to hold a 2nd picture over the top of the 1st picture (if you want to replace the current picture). You can probably call the store and ask them not to glue the picture on though.

I am very happy with this product though -- seems very high quality for just $2. They ARE small -- 2" x 2". $2 is the lowest I've ever seen it for this 2x2 acrylic cube -- I've *never* seen it for $1. $1 was the sale price for a regular magnet photo (where they take a photo and just put a magnet sheet on the back of it.
