Finally, I've been waiting a long time for the jigsaw to be near $100. I feel like every other tool has dropped in price aside from this one.

Honestly, most warranties are useless these days and for $100 I'm not worried about it.

Why? Last time I bought dewalt from woot, I paid for 1 and they sent me 2! I sent the 2nd one back for a refund. Free tool!

Yeah, I'd take that deal. Free tool, I wouldn't worry about warranty if needed!

If you feel good about throwing $100 bills away, Let me give you my address.
Tuesday is trash day, and my can is out front the night before!

Honestly, Warranty on a tool is one of the most important for one who uses them frequently.
If you have proof of purchase under DeWalt's warranty terms, It's pretty easy to get a replacement. I've had several, so I didn't have to throw $500+ dollars in the trash.

Waiting for a fair price and choosing to self insure a $100 tool aren't contradictory. Woot covers DOA/30 day returns, and brushless tools don't routinely explode. If this were a primary daily driver on a jobsite, dealer warranty matters. For occasional home use paying full retail markups just for manufacturer paperwork isn't worth it. Enjoy trash day though.

Self insure? Do you know what you're even saying?
I'm a wise shopper, if item isn't needed immediately.
You're foolish for throwing away a 3 year warranty for just 30 days, just to save $10 bux. lol

I returned my last woot DeWalt tool, sounded like grinding bearing. Granted it wasn't until I received it that I realized it was refurbished. This is new, but the return hassle gives me pause.
