Paramount Plus Premium is the key to this 2 month, 99 cent promo, and the code works best through a browser checkout rather than the app. The Premium plan unlocks no ads and downloads, including whole seasons for offline viewing, while the code has also worked on canceled or returning accounts. The main catches are eligibility and checkout friction, since Essential often rejects the code, new accounts may fail, and the app can skip the promo field. Premium also appears to show pause ads or preview ads in some cases, so the ad free experience is not perfectly clean.

Perfect! 3rd time in a row getting this deal right after I cancelled my subscription. There's a $20 cashback offer for Paramount Plus on Capital One Shopping, so hopefully this will qualify.

It's pause, the ad is not playing. I don't like the preview ad you have to watch in the beginning of a show, but most of my devices allow me to skip after a few seconds.
