Hose is kinda short, but for extended reach I use the extension hose from regular vacuum.
In addition to light vacuuming, I used mine to blow air into a trailer fresh water tank to poof out the residual water that didn't want to flow out the outlet while winterizing. Worked perfect. My air compressor would have been way overkill.
