This Ryobi USB screwdriver kit stands out mainly for the included USB batteries, especially the two 3Ah packs, which carry most of the value here. The removable battery design, rotating body, and onboard bit storage make it more flexible than fixed battery alternatives, and the tool has enough torque for everyday screwdriving and small repairs. Long term, the battery system can be the weak point, with reports of charge loss after a few years and no variable speed trigger. A practical pick if you want the batteries and can use the USB Lithium ecosystem.

I have one of the earlier versions of one these that do not have the changeable handle for about 6-7 years now and its been fantastic . Original battery is still very good cond including the extra battery I bought for it way back then ~ I dont remember the torgue specs on it , but it has always been plenty for all the things Ive used it on .Probably one of the better and most used tools Ive bought over the years , r and Ive really been happy with it and can recommend one .
I have it too but the battery went to shit within 2-3 years so it's trash now Frown

Can your return the tool and keep the two 3 amp batteries?
The only thing you could possibly return is the two pack 3.0 batteries since they are in a seperate package. I doubt that you could but, if they did allow you to do that, you'd end up with the tool and one 2 amp battery for free since they sell for the same price.

I think there is a misunderstanding. I was talkin about tools with built in batteries vs ones with changeable batteries.

while this is an awesome deal, this tool and battery doesnt seem very useful. like mentioned previously, the worx wx242l tool is so much better (albeit non-replaceable battery) and these 3000mah batteries are half the capacity of most slim/tiny powerbanks.
this whole usb-lithium line seems not-so-useful. i'd rather invest in skil 12v system that also has usb-recharge batteries.
This deal is still supreme so i am looking to see if there are any other useful usb-lithium tools that i can use the extra batteries with... just so i can get in on this SD Smilie

Same. I had to throw mine away because it wouldn't keep a charge

The Hyper Tough has a built in battery. When the battery dies, the tool is dead.
So does the HF version (which is not as nice as the HT version). Battery still works, 5 years later.

I had an older version of the Hyper Tough w/built in battery. I worked for over 5 years but then would no longer take a charge. At least with the ones that have a removable battery (any brand) if the battery dies the tool is still useable.

Bought this and returned the same day. Total trash. Can't really do any projects with it. Not powerful at all.

I love this tool. Its worked about perfectly to remove 8 screws off of a shark vacuum that I needed to repair. I also have a flashlight that uses these batteries.

Don't know why there is so much push back on this deal. 30 bucks.......basically the cost of the 2 pk of 3.0 batteries with a free tool w/2.0 battery, or the cost of the tool w/2.0 battery with a free 2 pk of 3.0 batteries.

Not new, but I'm in for another one just for the batteries. The deal is worth it just for that. If you need a screwdriver as well it's a bonus.
