I was wrong. VERY wrong.
Let's start with the good:
• Smallest volume charger for 100W, hands down.
• Feels very dense and high quality in hand
• Displays power delivered and delivery method on screen, with a small tablespoon of salt below.
• Each port can independently deliver up to 100W, with a massive bucket of salt below.
All of it should make one helluva perfect charger, but it has several major flaws:
Major Flaw #1: The charger will only put out a maximum of 8W for C2 and C3, for as long as C1 is plugged in. 8W and that's it! (See picture) It doesn't matter if C1 is using 1W, or 70W, or if this brick is able to output is 200W, having anything plugged into C1 locks C2 and C3 to an entirely unusable state. What can anyone charge in a reasonable time with 8W? This happens under all three power modes (Smart, Gentle, and Turbo). I would much rather have the charger deliver 30W to all three ports evenly when they are plugged in. In my testing, it's very clear that there's no "intelligence" in this charger at all. While it does identify the device as "iPhone Air," what does it do with that info? I know! Why don't we charge it with only 8W?
Major Flaw #2: Baseus, in their infinite wisdom, made it so that the display resets to this useless cute "pet" that I never signed up for. Want to keep viewing wattage information screen for C1/2/3? Good luck with that! The pet will come over and take over the whole screen in just a few seconds! Plugged in a new device? Here comes the pet again! Forget the info you want to see, you're going to have to keep tap tap tap the button to get there, every single time. I am not against the pet, but at least give us the ability to lock the screen on the power info.
The issues above are so severe, that it renders this charger pretty much useless for me. I'd rather have my 67W charger with a 30/15/15W distribution, than this charger with a practically useless C2/C3 ports, regardless of how small or high quality it is.
If you're looking for the perfect multi-device charger, I suggest looking elsewhere.
