They are nice brand new but they always seem to drift in a year. You can get replacement boards that have the analogs in the Microsoft store. It turns out much cheaper than buying a whole new controller.

But is this that much better than the regular Xbox controller and replacing it once a year? My controllers used to last multi years until they got super cheap. I have some original Xbox One Controllers that are still holding up pretty good

The elite controller is awesome when it works, I love how you can set the triggers to a fraction for faster sights and shooting. Also, the back paddles on allow you perform face-button actions without ever taking your thumbs off the thumbsticks. I heavily play FPS games which takes a huge toll on my analogs which causes drift overtime. For the high price of them you'd think they would use hall-effects or TMR analogs, but why would they if they can keep everyone buying more. Sadly, they dont make them like they used to.

Buy one and install TMR in it or have someone do it for you.

Not sure why people are thumbing down your comment. Just so everyone knows, you can go to estarland dotcom, they have a TMR Joystick installation service for under $30. I did it, and it was worth the peace of mind. When my LB started to fail, I did a trick I saw on youtube with Isopropyl alcohol that fixed it permanently (so far).
