If you don't mind buying refurbished, I picked up the R100 Camera with the 18-45mm lens direct from Canon earlier this week for $339. They had the same camera with two lenses for $399, but it looks like that option has currently gone OOS.

Second canon refurb. I snagged the R50 body for $399 last year and use all my old EF-S lenses with an adapter. Amazing cameras!

Short answer is yes. There are better lenses (you can spend $1000's) but for the extra $70 you get another lens at a great price for some extra zoom. If you can catch it in stock I would definitely go for it.

They do come in and out of stock periodically. Canon usually restock them shortly before running their Black Friday sale (they do tend to jump the gun a bit, running the sale about a week before BF). They do tend to go out of stock fairly quickly (within hours to a day). So check frequently between now and BF!
