The 77 inch LG C6H is being discussed as an OLED with strong picture quality and the usual deep blacks, but the main focus is on panel behavior and setup. Side by side viewing puts it close to Samsung OLEDs for image quality, while reflection handling appears weaker. The bigger concern is reported panel uniformity, including vertical banding, crushed blacks, brown test screens, and a green tint in the lower right. Updating the TV, checking OLED care settings, and letting pixel maintenance run off can improve issues over time, making it a careful pick for buyers who want to inspect the panel first.

Common Questions (4)

  • Check for vertical streaks or banding in dark and gray scenes, plus crushed blacks and color uniformity problems such as brown test screens or a green tint in the lower-right. Some of these issues can improve after the TV runs its pixel maintenance cycles over a few days.

  • Yes, banding and crushed blacks can clear after the TV runs its pixel maintenance or a pixel refresh cycle. One reported case fixed vertical banding immediately after a single refresh, and other cases improved over a few days of normal use.

  • Use it normally, keep the OLED panel care settings enabled, and watch a variety of content while checking for streaks or crushed blacks. If issues remain after about two weeks, then a manual pixel cleaning is suggested; otherwise the TV may improve on its own while powered off.

  • No. The 77" C6H is a tandem OLED model, while the older C6 with the WOLED panel was only sold up to 65 inches. It's worth researching the C6H specifically before buying because the panel type and reported issues are different.

Hey if I may ask a question about C6H. I'm a new owner of a C6H. It will arrive in a few days. What do you suggest I should do to break in the tv other than normal infrequent use, which how I will use it?
Make sure it's updated. I'd make sure all the oled panel care settings are on, they should be. Watch a variety of content look closely for vertical streaks especially in dark/grayish scenes. If you see that or black levels crushing details too much it's normal and over time it will clear out while the TV does its thing while powerd off.. Don't ignore the oled panel care screens that show up from time to time. There are YouTube videos where you can check for things like banding that show a gray scale and other colors. Over time you'll see a slow or immediate improvement. Don't manually run the pixel cleaning unless you're still having issues after like 2 weeks.
