That CPU will get everything out of that 2070 Super. If there was any bottleneck at all, it would be that GPU. Even something like a 4070ti super wouldn't be held back by that CPU.
So go buy a 9600x then, this CPU is obviously meant for people clinging to the AM4 platform for extended terms due to the BS pricing going on right now for components.
Literally none of what you said is accurate. This was widely requested BECAUSE memory prices skyrocketed, yet DDR4 still hadn't. Enthusiasts were foregoing upgrading to AM5 in lieu of what they already owned. Then the 5800X3D went EOL so it was in high demand. When they rereleased it, it still sold gangbusters. It's still the best AM4 CPU reasonably available if you exclude Ryzen 9.
This bundle centers on the Ryzen 7 5800X3D, which is still regarded as a strong AM4 gaming chip and a solid upgrade for older Ryzen systems. It is especially well suited to 1440p gaming, where the CPU is less of a limit and cards like the RTX 2070 Super or 3060 Ti can still pair well. The included 850 watt ASRock PSU is non modular and has drawn concern over its C plus tier rating, so the bundle feels more appealing for a secondary build than for a premium new system. The deal also appears to require checking the bonus gift section at checkout to confirm the PSU and promo are applied.
AM4 gamers upgrading from a Ryzen 5600, 5700, or 5800, because the 5800X3D gives a noticeable gaming boost without forcing a new motherboard and RAM.
Builders who can use a non-modular power supply cleanly, because the included PSU is easier to live with when a case has a shroud to hide extra cables.
No meaningful CPU bottleneck is expected with a 2070 Super at 1440p; the GPU is more likely to be the limit. The 5800X3D can also leave headroom for much faster cards, so it is not the weak link in that pairing.
The included ASRock 850W PSU is non-modular, so extra cables will need to be managed or hidden. It is also described as a lower-tier unit, making it better suited to a budget or secondary build than a premium main system.
For gaming, it can be worth it if you want extra FPS, but the gain depends on the game and resolution. At 1440p the X3D advantage is smaller, so the upgrade is most compelling for AM4 users chasing gaming performance rather than general productivity.
Some prior 5800X3D promos included an AIO cooler, and this one has been reported with a thermal pad in the box. The exact extras can vary by promotion, so the bundle should be checked carefully before buying.
Scroll to the default-checked "Yes! Add my bonus gift to cart" section, confirm the "Gift included" line in cart, and verify the -$20 promo is applied. That helps ensure you are on the listing that includes the PSU and not a different 5800X3D page.
I got a Ryzen 7 5700X3D, within 5-10% performance of the 5800x3d unless you under volt, THEN you can get almost the exact same performance. With an RTX 3060 ti and I'll be honest. I have so much cpu overhead my gpu is actually the bottleneck. So if your considering this cpu upgrade but still running something worse than a 3060 ti, your probably better off focusing on getting the best gpu you can find for the cheapest price.
Gets smoked by the 9600x and still $130 more, they're just milking it out

Does that $130 less include RAM and Motherboard? Most people aren't building new AM4 systems, just upgrading what they have already. The 9600X and 5800x3d are about the same performance in gaming when paired with realistic midrange cards. Besides gaming, you are right.... But nobody wants to spend $600-800 on new CPU, MoBo, and RAM right now, and anyone looking at a 3d-vcache CPU is using it for gaming.

The least expensive price I've seen so far for the re-release of the 5800X3D, but we still got a long way to go since that price is still more than what I'm willing to stomach to convince me to buy one. However, a special shoutout is in order for Lisa Su since it was reportedly her idea to release the 5800X3D again to the public as a final send off for the AM4 platform: https://wccftech.com/lisa-su-want...m4-owners/
Micro Center had it for $300 within a month after relaunch. It is $320 now

It's funny how AMD is promoting AM4 platform CPU because DDR5s are overpriced right now. We are not interested in this junk. I have a 7500X3D i bought early this for $199 with a motherboard at Microcenter. This is an overpriced junk I have no interest in. This is literally a 7 year old repackaged CPU.

Probably overpriced, but it's still a better chip than the 9600X.
