Also the mount for the TV is two small 4" squares, one for each of the top corners and there is no wiggle room for placement. This is less desirable than a single bar that goes across the middle because there is a really good chance that you will not have a stud in the correct location for the squares. You are left with either demoing your wall to put in additional studs/supports, or relying on toggle bolts to hold it up. A less than ideal solution.
Cable management for this tv is also terrible. Because it sits flush with the wall it has tiny groves in the back of the tv that you are suppose to put your cables in. Mostly this is just the power cable, but you may also need others, like me I needed another for the USB C, and HDMI for a gaming console (trying to avoid input lag from the wireless box). But because of how everything works you are trying to hang the tv at the same time trying to get the cables into the groves, it is a huge pain. I ended up cutting a strategically placed hole in my wall right where the cables were so I could run them behind the wall.
How to Bypass the Restrictions (For Free)
If you want to bypass the $4.99/month Art Store subscription and avoid the 5-minute rotation limit on the free stream, the best workaround is to upload your own public-domain art:
1. Find Art: Download high-resolution, masterwork digital art for free from public domain archives like The Met Open Access or the Art Institute of Chicago.
2. Crop It: Format the images to a 16:9 aspect ratio (ideally 3840 x 2160 pixels) so they fill the Frame's 4K screen perfectly without stretching. You can use mobile apps like Frame Crop to handle this automatically.
3. Upload: Use the free Samsung SmartThings app on your mobile device, navigate to your TV, select "Art Mode," and choose "Add Your Photos".
FWIW - I got this TV but in a 2023 version a couple years ago through one of these EPP deals, and it already has issues with the edge lighting from the bottom (know it may not be "burn-in", but it looks similar when its on). Thinking maybe the Frame, while nice looking, isnt worth the money/hassle/whatever
