This is overpriced and lame.
You can get good laser distance measurers around xmas from home depot and lowes for around $30. Usually Bosch but DeWalt makes a great small one for cheap too.
The tape measure is bulky for a 16ft with a very slim tape. This is garbage if you're a pro and annoying to use at best.
Also combining these tools might make sense for a homeowner or something but for a pro they're different tools used at different times. Doing carpentry you need a tape measure, you can't measure a board to cut it with a laser.
But a laser is great for takeoffs - how much baseboard will you need to buy? The laser makes that much faster to figure out and occasionally it's helpful but not required for some carpentry measurements like inside wall to wall, or I'm a foreman and so always have one iny belt as a pointer too just to help in a conversation.
Both are great tools and essential but combining them makes little sense especially with this particularly poor execution and it's WAY overpriced.
