Community Reviews

The OptiPlex 7090 Ultra stands out as a compact Dell desktop with unusually strong specs for the price, especially 32GB of RAM and a 256GB SSD. Its monitor mounted design makes it easy to hide behind a Dell display for an all in one style setup, and the included memory compares well with other listings that often ship with less. The i5 1145G7 is a laptop class chip, so it is not a powerhouse, and the Ultra form factor only fits if that layout works for your setup. There is also concern about SSD quality and whether the line has been discontinued, making it a capable but niche pick.

Minipcs in this price range will have much worse specs overall. You may find one with a better cpu, but it'll be barebones so it can't really compare

These were designed to fit on the back of Dell monitors to create an all-in-one, hence the unique shape

It would have to be. I have never seen a major retailer/newegg (other than best buy open box) provide a laptop or desktop without the power supply or cords. Either way, easy returns until next Jan via Walmart.com or in-store.

Great specs for the price. The CPU is a laptop CPU so this is not a powerhouse but for the price now you can't get better specs than this. Just be sure the form factor works for you.

Is this any good for light Fusion 360 and heavy 3d printing?

It's basically a laptop without the screen. You can get a similarly specced laptop for about the same price.

Seems like the SSD quality (and maybe other things) are very low quality and may die quickly: https://www.reddit.com/r/sysadmin...r_quality/

Looks like a gateway drug device for getting into homelabbing. Pretty sweet deal.
