If this is a 2024 Motorola phone, keep in mind that end of life software and security support is May 2027 for this phone.

The Moto G Stylus 5G 2024 stands out as a budget Android phone with a big OLED screen, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and handy extras like a headphone jack, microSD slot, FM radio, and solid speakers. Performance and call quality are described as strong, and the camera is fine in daylight but weaker at night. The main cautions are the short update window, with support ending around May 2027, and possible carrier or bootloader restrictions on some units. It looks like a feature rich value pick if those limits are acceptable.

  • The phone includes a headphone jack, built-in FM radio, and a microSD slot for offline radio and storage expansion.

  • The 2024 Moto G Stylus 5G is officially supported for one major Android OS upgrade and three years of security updates.

    AnatolyOadnj

  • The price can drop to $132.61 after clicking "see more seller options," which may improve the effective deal.

    ggps8k

  • Real-world reports describe fast performance with 256GB storage near full and strong voice quality for calls.

    IndigoScent3469

  • Software and security support ends around May 2027, which shortens the long-term update window compared with longer-supported phones.

    Psygniusadnj

  • The Snapdragon 6 Gen 1 in this model can run too hot and downclock, which may hurt sustained performance.

    Slick_shopper4u

  • Unlocked status may not guarantee Verizon compatibility, since some units fail Verizon IMEI compatibility checks and require T-Mobile activation.

    Char3lee

  • Some purchases through VIP Outlet have reportedly arrived locked to UScellular with the wrong storage size, creating unlocking and access issues.

I got a supposedly new unlocked 2024 stylus 128 gb from Amazon a week ago, and the phone says unlocked, but the imei doesn't pass the Verizon compatibility checker. Had to activate on a tmobile line. It did seem to work when I put my Verizon sim card in it from my current 2023 moto g stylus phone... just didn't pass the compatibility check. Also, my current 2023 version does pass the Verizon imei compatibility check. Not sure what's the problem.

The Moto G (any year) is a far inferior phone to the Stylus line
I typed it quickly, meant moto g stylus.

Dude. It's not the same. That one is only 128GB & you need 120 days of service before it's unlocked
I typed it too quick, it's moto g stylus and Fi phones are factory unlocked so you can use from day 1.

I have used this phone for over a year. I like it. The old fashioned headphone jack and FM Radio are a bonus too.

The people buying this phone don't give a shit about security updates
we dont even know what security updates they install anyway. they just say they do. for all we know, it's a surveillance update. hah, phone has a FM chip. you can listen to radio without data. and it has a microSD slot. i think i'll get this to upgrade my Velvet 5G.

Fantastic phone. Yes, it only has a few years of updates...but I've kept my Moto phones well past that with no issues.

Plenty quick. I have 90% of my 256gb memory full...and it's still speedy. Never dropped a call. Voice quality is great.

8gb of RAm and an OLED screen.

Did I mention it has fantastic sound? Speakers are good too.

Oh, and headphone jack and micro sd card compatible.

Only downside is the camera is just so so. During the daylight...it does well. At night..not so much.

For $130...it's almost a no brainer

Almost certainly wrong because this is probably a Verizon phone. You won't be able to bootloader unlock it.

Good deal if I am incorrect. This model is supported officially by LineageOS.

Could you get security updates via custom roms? Never done it.
