Pretty good deal given the current environment if you are looking for an NVIDIA GPU. Probably will be better deals throughout November that pop-up, but this is best I could find currently for a RTX 5070 and a Ryzen 7 7800X3D with 32gb of RAM, most others are $2,300+. Only real negative is the RAM speed is 4800, but the performance hit compared to 6000 is not massive.

I'd wait for the Microcenter deal to come back , it was 2000 a few days ago.

The 9070 XT destroys the 5070.

I don't get it...people complain about gas prices but have no problem spending money on gaming PC's?? I just hope to find a newish non-gaming PC for around $500 on BF to replace my 10 y/o Dell. Perhaps memory demand will slow after Nov 3rd.

AMD GPUs are a meme, and you'll spend more time on r/AMDhelp than gaming

Perhaps a loaf of bread will cost a nickel again too. Wishful thinking, but the price is only gonna increase as time goes on

Nah, computer tech/parts tend to ebb and flow a lot more readily than other market segments due to near bottomless pockets of those in the AI rat race. Once shit settles down/there is some degree of bubble pop - parts will come back down to their more linear trendline.

Problem is that could be more than a year from now.

It really isn't though. I've had nothing but issues since switching from Nvidia to AMD. Constant crashing unless you tweak the drivers just right for certain games. I spend more time trying to stop my GPU from crashing than getting to enjoy gaming. I'm heading back to Nvidia as soon as I can afford it.
