Last year, 4TB, 16 channel with 8 x 12mp cameras for $650. 😐 I regret just buying one kit.

Don't get me wrong. To date, this is one of the best deals on a reputable brand from Costco. You won't be able to match on Amazon or reolink websites. Now considering all the tariffs and inflation, I doubt we will get a better deal around Black Friday.

Anyone know if I can expand the poe ports with a switch or is it limited to only 8 wired cams?

I bought this earlier in September, just returned that and rebought. To expand you need to connect an unmanaged 4 port switch to this system. It will pass through the extra 4 to the recorder that will locate it in the selection

Does the 4 port switch need to have POE? I have one spot in my backyard wired with an Ethernet cable and was wondering if I could place two cameras at that location with a single cable?

  • Section 301 Tariffs: General tariffs on Chinese imports enacted in previous years (2018–2019) as well as newer Section 301 tariffs applied to broader categories. Smart home and consumer security cameras (such as those from Ring, Nest, Logitech, Eufy, and general Chinese-assembled IP or CCTV cameras) have faced import duties typically ranging around 34% under recent tariff adjustments, alongside legacy baseline and stacking duties. [1, 2, 3, 4]
  • Harmonized Tariff Schedule (HTSUS): Outdoor security camera systems and television/digital video cameras commonly fall under HTSUS subheading 8525.89.3000, which historically carried a baseline duty rate of "Free" under standard trade terms, but was subject to additional ad valorem duties (such as 25% under U.S. Note 20, Chapter 99) plus shifting emergency or country-specific trade measures.
