- Author: Patrick Stewart
- Print Length: 479 pages
- From his acclaimed stage triumphs to his legendary onscreen work, Sir Patrick Stewart has captivated audiences around the world and across multiple generations in a career spanning six decades with his indelible command of stage and screen. No other British working actor enjoys such career variety, universal respect, and unending popularity, as witnessed through his seminal roles - whether as Captain Jean-Luc Picard of Star Trek fame, Professor Charles Xavier of Marvel's X-Men hit movie franchise, his more than forty years as part of the Royal Shakespeare Company, his unforgettable one-man show adapted from Charles Dickens's A Christmas Carol, or his comedic work in American Dad!, Ted, Extras, and Blunt Talk, among many others. Now, he presents his stunning memoir, a revealing portrait of a driven artist whose astonishing lifeโfrom his humble beginnings in Yorkshire, England, to the heights of Hollywood and worldwide acclaim - proves a story as exuberant, definitive, and enduring as the author himself.

- Affairs: yes, and repentant for it.
- Children: "ditched" is inaccurate, but he did prioritize work over them, leading to permanent rifts.
- On Trekkies: actually the evidence points otherwise, and he has also routinely expressed a love of Trek and its fans. The first season on TNG itself he was a bit of a stiff diva nightmare, but he loosened up over time. (Just ask his cast mates.)
So yes, he was flawed. Every person is. And I agree with not meeting your heroes. (I have and found them all to be... all too human.) But he was repentant, which can't be said for everyone. And he does talk about it here.

We need "Deal Editors" back to fix these shortcomings. 13TU popular without this basic info is problematic. I assume that SD Labor has been restructured into shilling
Edit: are that many late comers confused about how time works? ๐ yes *NOW* eBook has been added to the post, but when the prior comment was made and my reply was made...it wasn't. that's how forums work. we were here before you were and commented on how things were at that time.

I will "Make It So."
[blank look from Andy]
Patrick Stewart:
You've seen "Star Trek: The Next Generation?"
Andy Millman:
I haven't, no.
Patrick Stewart:
Why? Your wife won't let you have it on?
Andy Millman:
I'm not married.
Patrick Stewart:
Oh, your girlfriend then?
Andy Millman:
I haven't got a girlfriend either. I live alone.
Patrick Stewart:
You're not married, you haven't got a girlfriend... and you've never watched "Star Trek?"
Andy Millman:
No.
Patrick Stewart:
Good Lord...
