I own and purchased this same eScooter just over 3 weeks ago. To answer the quoted reply, this scooter can definitely do it's top rated 22mph, but ONLY when above 70-80% battery. The 42v battery it's not under powered by any means, in fact most 36v rated scooters only have a 7.8Ah battery at best, so the 10.5Ah this one has definitely allows that plus will go further.
Some notes on the scooter... This is NOT an Aovopro, but rather a clone, the Aovowheel Y02 which is almost identical to the Aovopro TMax, which itself is a clone of the Xiaomi M365.
Onto the battery, while it's a 42v battery and recharges at 42v, it only delivers that 42v power above 70% charge level. Below that, it automatically drops to a nominal 36v power and won't reach that 22mph top speed under most terrain conditions, you can see the voltage drop in any of the supported apps that work with the scooter. The motor from multiple sources I've read is 500w with a 700w peak, I imagine that's upon start up. This is a FWD scooter.
The suspension is legit and works, you can tell if you hop on the deck while it's not moving and feel the suspension rebound. I've never ridden another eScooter to differentiate a rigid frame, but the ride is fairly stiff for what I'd expect from a full suspension setup.
Lastly, I use both the recommended Vicont app (QR code for it in the super tiny print user manual) as well as the 365 Scooter app. While many people trash the Vicont app, I find it more intuitive and also more feature rich if marginally. Also the Vicont app allows adjustment of both starting torque as well as driving torque which matters when meeting a hill and maintaining speed. That said, I mainly use my scooter for going from the train station a half dozen blocks from work and back. There's a significant 1 block long hill, about 10% grade I would guess if not more, while on 80-100% charge, it'll tackle the hill at about 12mph as long as you have a bit of speed coming up to it. On lesser charge it'll slow down to about 8-9mph, but still faster than walking, I weigh around 170lbs for reference.
I find the scooter to be well worth the cost though and punches above what you'd expect from a scooter of it's price. No shills here, just real world experience from a product I was initially highly skeptical about and feared regretting the purchase. I'd definitely buy it again if I needed another.
