A better deal is waiting for Costco or Sam's Club to be selling the $100 Nintendo cards for $80 (Which Sam's Club is doing for Black Friday this year), and then buying a $500 Switch 2 directly from Nintendo with 5 $100 gift cards, that only cost you $400.

what sucks is I have $2k best buy gcs, so hate to buy things elsewhere. sigh.

So nintendo doesn't charge tax? Or you're just saying about $500 in cards? Also, does costco usually do it?

Costco does it three times a year, from what I have read on other threads, and one of those times is usually near Christmas. I'm sure that Nintendo probably charges tax also, but it depends on where you live. Some states do not charge sales tax.

90 day Woot limited warranty vs 1 year normal warranty doesn't seem worth a meager $30 savings

Woot is an Amazon returns reseller. I'd be very cautious buying electronics from them even though it says "new" it might not actually be new.

I think they recently did it during a time when you could also stack a $50 off $500 coupon on top of it. That is a deal.

They also do not honor returns like Amazon does. I bought a Garmin Smart Watch off them, supposedly brand new, and seemingly great deal, like $80 less than normal retail. So I thought, why not, it's technically Amazon.

This also wasn't human error. I already own 4 other Garmin smart watches over the years. I love Garmin watches and I am kind of a loyalist.

The sensors in it didn't work. No heart rate, the walking sensor was WAY off. I even put my previous watch on one wrist, the other on another, and I would do like say, 6000 steps, and the new one would report like 200 over that time... a whole day of work, like 200 steps? I don't think so.

So, I used for a refund and to return it as defective. To do so I had to actually email them, wait for a response, then I got another email back from customer service asking for an explanation as to why I felt it wasn't working right, and then I went back and forth a couple of times of them suggesting things because they didn't have any kind of real customer service that I knew of... none of their suggestions worked, and finally, this customer service rep says he could not issue a refund unless I made a video demonstrating this not working, so I had my wife on her phone record the watch as I went through some of the features and visually prove to them it wasn't working.

After about 10 days of this back and forth they agreed to let me return it for a refund where they will inspect it themselves and confirm the flaw and only after they received the item, did their inspection, did I FINALLY get a confirmation of refund, which was a little over 2 weeks.

I have never since ordered a single thing from Woot. I am sure you are fine for things you don't have to worry about being broken, like t-shirts and stuff, but I just refuse to buy electronics from them ever again.

I highly doubt this happened.
