If you haven't tried out an emulation handheld, this is a great place to start for less than $35. Thanks for sharing, OP!

with a 64gb card in today's world, this is a steal.

The downside? You'll end up with more handhelds than hands once you catch the bug.

Game on!

Now, I'm not one of these "throw out the card as soon as you get the handheld" type people...there are a lot of them and they appear in every one of these threads. But these cards are VERY low quality and should NOT be used for anything you'd care about losing. I'll rock these cheapo cards in a retro handheld until the wheels fall off but do not rely on them for anything that is even vaguely important to you, including your saved games if their important to you.

Anyone have direct experience on how emulating Nintendo DS games will work without dual screens?

The emulator installed (likely DraStic) can swap screens with a button press, and also swap screen layouts with a different one so you could have side by side, or one screen really large while the other screen was small and off to the side (or even over part of the display over the other, whatever floats your boat.

What I tend to do on devices with analogs (and single screens) is program R3 to swap screen, and L3 to change layout. To me those keys are perfect since you won't likely use those keys for anything else on anything below PS2, which this can't play. For a small screen like this you aren't likely to get much use out of trying to fit both screens on the same display, plus you'll want to stick to DS games that don't require much touch functions and also games that do not require both screens up at the same time. Same theory for 3DS, but I doubt this handheld could handle 3DS either.

For example, games like Mario Kart DS and New Super Mario...play perfect on single screen at a time and do not really require any touch input. However the two DS Zelda's (since they require so much touch input and dual screen) would be nearly unplayable...or unenjoyable at least. So really depends on the game you plan to play.

P.S. Single display wide screen handhelds, IMO, make decent DS platforms since it is much easier to fit both 4:3-ish screens, on a 16:9 display. Bonus points if it has a touch screen.

Note - the screen is really low res. Yes you're going to play old games but because you're used to your phones now it's going to not look great. It's also 3:2 native res so only GBA games run in native aspect ratio

Truth! One of mine had a card that took a dump had to do a big restore to recover the games

Same. Could be due to Trump tariffs making the deal not doable to the US.
